Welcome to submit papers to The 4th international workshop on the Impact of Internet of Things on Daily Life.
This is a workshop at the 8th IEEE Cyber Science and Technology Conference (CyberSciTech 2023). It is intended to provide a forum for researchers to present thoughts and results for the most recent advances in different aspects of IoT and the support of human daily life. We encourage the submission of papers with new theory, analysis, methods, and applications.

Abstract— With the spread of smartphones and smart homes, citizens can create huge amounts of data. However, most of this data is held by the data platform company. Platform companies sometimes leak data and sometimes discontinue unprofitable services. Collecting and analyzing data on residents and the urban environment is essential for smart cities to improve their services. Due to the need for data related to the privacy of the inhabitants, the constraints and costs of obtaining and using that data are high. The proposed Ubiquitous Personal Online Datastore (UPOD) is a personal IoT data framework that connects to the Internet. The UPOD framework makes users the owners of their data and is free to share or stop some of their data. Personal IoT data such as personal movement history and smart home records can be seamlessly collected in a personally owned UPOD, and data can be centrally managed from anywhere. Fragmentation of personal IoT data by individual corporate IoT platforms can also be prevented by implementing UPOD. The UPOD framework also allows users to provide some of their personal data to smart cities, exchange it for the services of data service providers, and secure the right to opt out of personal data. Data service providers can legally obtain data from users for a specified portion and for a specified period at any time, saving investment in data security management. Applying the UPOD framework to the smart city sensing platform will improve the smart city service and reduce the effort and cost of retrieving personal data.

提案されているユビキタスUPOD(Ubiquitous Personal Online Datastore)は、インターネットに接続する個人IoTデータフレームワークです。
